Maeil Kyungjae - Sewage treatment plant odor eliminated with ultraviolet rays.
As summer comes, more companies and local governments are suffering from odors coming from environmental infrastructure such as sewage treatment plants, food waste treatment plants,
and waste recycling facilities. Scentec (CEO Kwon Yong-seok), a company specializing in odor removal, has been showing a high odor removal rate with its own photo oxidation deodorization
device and is recently raising its stock price. CEO Kwon Yong-seok explained, "Since we already introduced the tube oxide deodorization device
(photo zone deodorization system) in 2000, we have improved the technology and are now introducing the third-generation device." Sentec's photo oxidation deodorization
technology is based on the ozone layer generation principle that collects ultraviolet rays from the sun . Scentec, which has 14 patents related technologies, also succeeded in securing
a core source technology in January.
Already, Konjiam and Yeongdong sewage treatment plants are discharging air after removing odors using Sentec's photo oxidation deodorization equipment.
Representative Kwon said, "We are currently exploring new markets in the United States and China."
